Contracts are extremely important in all financial related transactions—from getting employment, to getting married, or buying or renting property— though many young people are intimidated by them. Concord is seeking to promote contract literacy in young people through this scholarship.

Prompt: Write a 1,000+ word essay on the top five things young people who are transitioning to adulthood should know before they sign their first contracts.

WINNERS

We are going to be publishing our top 10 most well researched and educational pieces on our blog! All submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by our panel of judges. Our first place winner will also receive a one-time disbursement of $1,000 awarded directly to your educational institution. The student is responsible to ensure receipt of funds by the school and notify us if such is not the case within 60 days of the announcement.

Good luck! We are excited to read your submissions.

Concord reserves the right to terminate this scholarship program at any time without any notice. We require a minimum of 15 submissions in order to award this scholarship. This scholarship program is void where prohibited. NOTE: In the event that the student’s school would prefer to have the award paid directly to the student as award money rather than being paid to the school as a scholarship, we will do so upon request.
