Earning your degree from Emporia State University is one of the best investments you will ever make. ESU offers a variety of different scholarships to offset your cost of tuition and support your educational goals.
Important Dates + To Do's
- Complete your FAFSA application.
- Apply to ESU to be entered into a drawing for one of two $500 scholarships by April 14 for the first drawing and by April 28 to be entered into the second drawing.
- Be admitted as an ESU student to be eligible for the most scholarships.
- Register to enroll at any Hornet Connection date before May 1 to be entered into a drawing for a $1,000 scholarship.

Additional Scholarships not in the library
- PRESIDENTIAL + GPA SCHOLARSHIPS
The renewable Presidential Scholarship is awarded based on ACT/SAT score and GPA. If you scored lower than a 21 on the ACT, or are unable to take the ACT/SAT, you may be eligible for the non-renewable GPA-Only scholarship based on GPA.
- TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIPS
Based on your transferring GPA, you may be eligible for the renewable Transfer Scholarship.
- ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS
Several scholarships are available to incoming athletes.
- MUSIC SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarship opportunities for majors and non-majors participating in music ensembles are available! Audition may be required.
- HONORS SCHOLARSHIPS
Earn a renewable $1,000 scholarship with acceptance into the Honors College at Emporia State University.
- HOUSING SCHOLARSHIPS
Receive an automatic $1,000 for the first year living on campus, and further awards for every subsequent year in the ESU residence halls. No additional steps are required for this scholarship after completing your housing application.
- GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
A number of graduate scholarships are available through the Graduate School to assist both online and face-to-face learning.
- NON-ESU SCHOLARSHIPS
